This package includes everything you'll need for an exciting and memorable trip: a quality trekking bicycle, panniers, tool kit, detailed maps and information in English about accommodations and points of historical and cultural interest along the way. Services and prices can be customized according to your needs.
The Prague-Vienna Greenways is a 402-563km / 250-350mile network of mapped biking & hiking trails and country roads connecting these two majestic cities. The Greenways meanders through beautiful countryside taking you through historical Czech villages and towns, past centuries-old castles and chateaux and into the picturesque wine regions of South Bohemia, Moravia and lower Austria.
The Greenways trails are safe and of medium difficulty. The surface varies from asphalt and crushed limestone to packet dirt. The terrain varies from flat to rolling hills, through open fields, wooded areas and small villages, along rivers and lakes. Generally, cyclists average about 50-80km/day, taking about 7-10 days to complete the trip. Praha Bike also has options for shorter routes on the Greenways or recommendations for taking your bicycle on the train between various points on the route.
Whichever option you choose, Praha Bike will help you to plan an active and unforgettable trip which will allow you to explore the Greenways according to your interests and at your own pace.

Information about the Prague Vienna Greenways Trip.
Prague-Vienna Greenways is a network of bicycle and pedestrian paths and trails between Prague and Vienna. By bike you have a chance to discover historical cities and villages, visit romantic castles, medieval monasteries, to get close to the culture and traditions or enjoy a good local wine in wine cellars. - The best time to plan your trip is between the middle of April to the middle of October.
- Official starting point of the the Prague-Vienna Greenways is at park in Prague 13. When you pick up your bikes from Praha Bike office our guide will guide you out of the city fallowing Greenway bike path from Prague.
- The official ending point is in Vienna - Stammersdorf
- Length: 470 km
- Prague - Vienna Greenways fallows predominantly quiet asphalt roads with some short sections also on unpaved roads. For the trip you can use trekking or mountain bikes. We recommend to use our trekking bikes as they are built by Praha Bike for multi-days trips, and also great for unpaved or some rough conditions.
Traveling time depends on number kilometers you want to cover per day. Usually takes between 5 to 10 days.
If you don't have enough time or want to skip some part of the route you can take the train. Bikes can also be transported by the train and subway. To check train availability and prices on different connections visit official web site of Ministry of Transport www.jizdnirady.cz its also has an English version.
Accommodation in towns and villages along the Greenways Bicycle Route.
There is accommodation available in almost every town you will pass through on your trip. So depending on how far you get each day, there should be no problem booking yourself into a hotel, pension or camping when you arrive.
On our map we have also indicated the locations of Information Centers, Hotels, Pensions, Campings.

We have quality Trekking 28" wheel bikes, specially built by Praha Bike company for biking in Czech Republic.

Bicycles are always checked by our excellent mechanic Honza before the trip.
Bike Rental Conditions
- for each bike you need to leave a refundable security deposit of 3000Kc/120Euro per bicycle
- for bike deposit you can use cash or credit card-sale slip
- deposit will be return at the end of the rental period
- passport/ID also required
Note: The Bike deposit is not related to the Reservation deposit. The Bike deposit has to be done at Praha Bike office by credit card or in cash on the day of the rental.

Transportation by train and bus.
You can take a train with the bikes in Czech Republic and Austria.
Bikes can be transported on trains and sometimes by bus. To check train/bus availability and prices on different connections visit the official web site of the Ministry of Transport www.jizdnirady.cz it also has an English version or ask us to find necessary train/bus connections and prices for you.
There are different train connection around Czech Republic and direct train connections from Vienna to Prague(or from Prague to Vienna).

- Start date & approx time of your planned tour
- Your height (to determine bike frame size)
- Preferred frame type - male or female
- Any requests for additional services (transportation, accommodation booking, GPS, etc.)
- Please also let us know if you will NOT be needing any of items in the Tour Package (such as panniers, helmet, etc.)
- Reservation deposit of 1000Kc/42Euro. Upon receipt of your email, Praha Bike will email you a PayPal Payment Request. (The remaining balance must be paid in CASH (Czech Koruna or Euro) at Praha Bike when you start your tour.)
*Note - The reservation deposit is NOT the bicycle security deposit. Our Self-Guided Tour Package requires a returnable security deposit of 3000Kc/1200Euro per bicycle (paid in cash or credit card) at Praha Bike when you arrive to start your tour. The security deposit will be returned to you at the end of your tour.
*Cancellation Policy In the event that you cancel your reservation less than 72 hours before your reserved time, we regret that this deposit will be non-refundable.
