BIKE IT, PRAGUE STYLE !!!
Imagine you are in Prague sitting on a terrace along the Vltava River and you hear a group of tourists describing their morning: "Old Town Square... Charles Bridge... National Theatre... Vysehrad Castle... Kampa Island... Loreto Church..."
You can't listen anymore, because you've hardly had time to see the Astronomic Clock and the Spanish Synagogue that morning, and already you're exhausted. How did they get to see all those places? Finally, you give in and ask them. Their answer is simple: by bike.

Why didn't you think of that before?

Prague isn't a big city; it has about 1.2 million inhabitants, but it is big enough that you couldn't walk it in two or three hours. I've found that when I am visiting a new city I end up seeing everything briefly just so when I come back home nobody will arch an eyebrow while asking "You didn't visit that?" In Prague's case, I decided that instead of trying to cram everything in by foot, it is better to go on a bike tour or rent a bike to see the highlights of the city. Not only do you get to see more in less time but if there is something that sparks your interest you can always go back and spend more time there.
I recommend Praha Bikes, Dlouha Street 24. It is located close to Old Town Square, a great place to start or finish your ride. From March 15 until the November 15 they offer two-hour tours throughout the city or through parks. If you prefer your own tour, you can also rent a bike. Praha Bikes is open year-round and everyone who works there speaks English.

Happy riding!
